As I am sure is common to many of us, I fear I have realised my dream too late. Studying my undergraduate degree in Education Studies, I relished the opportunity to broaden my knowledge and explore concepts I had never considered. I enjoyed it so much, I went on to complete a Master’s in Education, specialising in sustainability. It was during this time that my passion for marine conservation was ignited thanks to a lifelong passion for the sea and the encouragement of my sustainability lecturers. Yet, having now graduated, I have been devastated to discover that jobs in this field will largely only consider those with marine related degrees, and thus my work up until now had proved fruitless in the search for my dream job.
I began to look at undertaking a second degree, but soon discovered that Student Finance will not find an additional degree unless it is for a medical profession or very limited part-time funding.

I believe there is nothing more important in this time than fostering a world that is sustainable for future generations and a key factor in this is protecting our sea life. I would love nothing more than embarking upon a career fostering sustainability and conservation in our planet’s oceans, and so I come to you all for support. I have the university course picked out - Plymouth University studying a one-year MSc in Marine Conservation . Please help me get there! Thank you for any kind donations and support.
