I am a man with a real passion in dance since I was in 5 years old.
Started to move my toes, fingers, eyes and heart along with rhythm of nature and music. Where I come from Srilanka, dance is not common for men.
I have finished recently my Diploma in Health and Social Care at Barking and Dagenham college. Also I have been practising Rajyoga meditation for 3 years and I would like to bring them in to the safe place with my dance creative experiences and skills.
Luckily I have got a chance and a place to do my foundation in Dance Movement Psychotheraphy at Goldsmiths University in London this September.
This foundation includes application to practise in different important work areas like children with ASD&learning difficulties and adult mental health problems.
I feel that if we are on this beautiful earth, we should care atleast do something to help others to get away from the obstacles they face.
For this course, I have to pay a total of £1190. I have got £500 from the generous Ruth Hayman Trust, however I still need £690 to pay for the rest of my fees. With this money I would able to achieve my goals and undertake this foundation.
Any contributions would be greatly appreciataed and thank you for taking time to read my profile.
