Great idea. I see this as a great tonic for our green spaces and parks, to protect the health and well-being benefits they provide, a panacea for the austerity agenda encroaching on the wonderful habitat we have evolved in London over the thousands of years of its existence, and a great umbrella to connect and share the mutual benefits our natural habitats can bring.

BRILLIANT idea, and I can't wait for NYC and LA to pick up on it, states-side over here. You can skip mailing the paper and just send the digital - save postage for the campaign! Thanks for inspiring me today. Brennan Inspired Action Network.com

Well looks like I am going to be out of pocket a fair bit both as an individual and organisational donor. And I couldn't be happier! Congratulations!

All best wishes for your work on this wonderful and inspirational project. It's such a great idea. I very much hope you can reach your target!

tom-alexander 13th June 2015

Looks like it is getting close to the target so I hope my contribution helps achieve it for such an inspiring project. I am a Londoner from Bayswater, an architect, and an absolute believer in the role we have as custodians of our environment. Good luck today and tomorrow, and perhaps any shortfall could be temporarily borrowed to hit the target and secure the pledges. Hope to meet you on the 14 July at the launch. Tom Alexander

Best of luck with the last 3 days of fundraising!!! this is so much more worthwhile than the Heatherwick Bridge... which may be extraordinary, but will have limited access and costs estimated at £2.5m pa to run and maintain.. A greener and bluer Greater London National Park will be accessible to everyone to enjoy without admission charges... Hope that all the London boroughs follow Ealing (and others?) and pledge to make the target..

It's such a great idea, it just HAS to happen. GO, Greater London National Park City, GO!!!! ... although maybe just call it "London National Park"?

daisygreen 9th June 2015

Sounds like a great idea - fully justified by the amount of greenery in London and how hard many campaigners have fought historically to keep areas of it green in the face of development.

timrgill 8th June 2015

We need to weave nature into cities, because 1) cities are where most people live 2) people need nature on their doorstep and 3) nature needs people, if we are to safeguard the biosphere. This is not just a rhetorical flourish, it's a stroke of genius. I'm proud to support it, and hopeful that my city will lead the way in improving urban habitats for all of its plants and animals (including humans).

hughbar 6th June 2015

I'm supporting this, as is, for the moment and will write a piece on my own blog about the current plan. Even if I don't agree with all of it, something like this is a lot better than 'nothing'.

waterlily 6th June 2015

I'm so impressed with this campaign and I fully support this idea of bringing together all the green spaces of London, highlighting the importance of London's wildlife. This campaign can help Londoners connect to nature and the environment on their doorsteps. Well done Daniel. Keep going!

aecom 6th June 2015

AECOM delighted to be supporting the London National Park City campaign - providing a new focus on the 'green infrastructure' of the capital - looking to an integrated approach for amenity, health, ecology and environment.

friends-of-dkh-wood 3rd June 2015

Good luck with the crowdfunding: a great initiative. Our park and wood in SE London may be small but together with all the others it contributes to the mosaic of habitats that are spread across London.

I'm Ella (10 years) and my brother Ed is (6). We want the whole of London to be a National Park. Let's it for the kids!
