I’m Carolin, I’m 32 and I’ve struggled with being overweight for the most part of my life and related health issues like severe back pain, depression and fertility problems. After a lot of heartache as a result of my excess weight, I decided I didn’t just want to loose weight and keep it off but I wanted to change my life and my relationship with food. I started the Keto diet but soon struggled to stay on it because I so missed bread and other baked goodies. Instead of giving up however, I got into my kitchen and started experimenting day and night with tons of recipes and ideas. I truthfully didn’t get much sleep for months but it was absolutely worth it. I was able to create some delicious breads and sweets that were extremely low in carbs and I fell completely in love with my diet! I shared my first successes on social media and was overwhelmed with requests to put my products up for sale. After trialling my goodies with some willing testers, I was finally ready to dive in and open my very own little baking shop. Within less than a year, with my wonderful ladies on the team, we grew so rapidly that my home can hardly still contain production and handling. We are now desperate to expand and find a suitable premise to continue to cater for diabetics, dieters and sufferers of illnesses such as PCOS, epilepsy, GLUT1 deficiency and many more. As very low carbohydrate diets are now recognised by the NHS as a treatment alternative to several illnesses, we are determined to make low carb products more accessible and affordable to the UK public. Help us realise our dream and be a part of the LCKB movement!
