Why do we need funding?
We don’t have millionaire backers. We’re not supported by corporate elites. Put simply, we don’t have the resources of the other major parties. That’s why we’re turning to ordinary people like you to help make sure we all have a voice in Richmond & Twickenham.
We wish to raise funds to for our ongoing campaign to promote a Progressive Alliance and Proportional Representation.
The money raised will be used to support the campaign and this will include:
- Cover cost for printing of leaflets & posters est. £1500. These will mostly be hand delivered across the whole constituency by our volunteers, as we can't afford to pay for professional delivery people like other parties.
Thanks for taking the time to look at our project, and hopefully for your support!
What about the 2016 by-election, you might be asking?
The Green Party has decided not to stand a parliamentary candidate in the Richmond Park by-election. Instead we are concentrating on building a Progressive Alliance with other left-of-centre parties, so that we can work together for the common good. The Green Party is forging the trust and co-operation needed to ensure a better result in the 2018 council elections and next General Election. Standing down in 2016 is a strong gesture of goodwill. However, this decision needs explaining to the citizens of Richmond & Twickenham, and part of the funding you donate will help to communicate our position.
