Help get Oscar Idle elected
We did it
On 7th May 2021 we successfully raised £205 with 12 supporters in 14 days

We need to raise £500 to help get Oscar Idle elected in Oxford's 2021 local elections!

Climate emergency needs to be addressed urgently. We need action rather than words. The best way to do this is by elected Greens in the room to advocate for people and planet. However, our rigged electoral system means Greens have to fight harder to make the change we want to see. We don’t have the money or the resources of the bigger Parties.

That’s why we need you.

Oscar Idle has lived in Oxford his whole life. He entered politics though engagement in various campaigns, including Stop HS2, Youth Strike for Climate and Stop the war on Yemen. He was inspired to become involved in politics to fight for climate justice, growing up in a world shaped by recession, climate breakdown and an out of touch political class. He is now teaching assistant at a local primary school and wishes to make a significant difference locally to his community.

In May 2021 we will be fighting elections to both Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City council. That’s twice as many as in any normal year. With Covid we have been restricted  in campaigning and many of Oscars student constituencies have been absent.

Green have held this seat in the past, this seat is winnerable but only with your support.

£500 would pay for an extra two leaflets across the Hollywell ward.

You can help get Greens elected to take real action on the climate emergency, secure a just recovery from coronavirus and fight for public services that work for all of us.

Help turn Oxford Green and get Oscar elected

P.S. Because we're a political party

  • Please note all donations will go to Oxfordshire Green Party to help our campaign to get more Greens elected to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council.
  • We're required to run permissibility checks on donations over £500. These will be completed as pledges are made. For the same reason, we cannot accept anonymous donations over £500.
  • If you make multiple donations to us, they may be aggregated for our reporting purposes.
  • Your details will appear in our election returns if valued over £500, and if you donate over £7500 your identity will appear on the Electoral Commission website.
