In February of this year we set up our charity to fund and facilitate youth projects in Hemel Hempstead. On May 2nd we opened the doors to our two youth projects and since then we have worked with over 100 young people in Dacorum.
We have offered a wealth of life skills learning around topics such as healthy relationships, mental health awareness, budgeting, sexual health, future aspirations, cooking and much more. We have also offered fun days both in our centres and outside - with a bowling trip back in August.
Our young people are absolutely fantastic and have helped us to fundraise with a sponsored walk and we also have plans to fundraise with them in December.
We have been extremely grateful for the support we have received so far but to ensure we can continue our work we need to raise more funds - especially since the grants we have received cannot fund our overheads (venue hire).
We are still a completely voluntarily led service with every member of the charity and youth workers being completely unpaid.
