Recording software for our Music Provision

by James Simon-Norris in Hook

We did it
On 22nd February 2018 we successfully raised £40 with 4 supporters in 28 days

We are a charity called Inclusion Hampshire and work with young people who are outside of mainstream education.

We've been developing a highly effective music provision over the last few years which has been of real benefit to our learners.   One of the great strengths of this provision is that we're able to provide a service which allows access to music technology in advance of what they'd normally be able to access in mainstream education.  This is an exception in the alternative education sector which in terms of facilities is all too often the poor relation to the mainstream.

The recording software we use is called Ableton Live which is the most effective for us due to its versatility for the large variety of music sessions we run.   We have been using Ableton Suite 9 however on Feb 6th Ableton Suite 10 is released which is the first major upgrade for Five years.   Unfortunately,  as a charity things are incredibly tight for us right now so it would be fantastic if we could receive enough donations in order to buy the upgrade.  This would enable us to stay at the cutting edge of technology thereby giving our pupils who so often miss out on the life chances available to the majority of children the chance to access something that has so many beneficial and therapeutic attributes.
