With more Green MEPs, the environment and Europe will be in the best hands possible. Help us to elect the NW of England's first Green MEP

by NW Green Party in Salford, England, United Kingdom

This isn’t just about Europe, leave or remain, this is about our country and our values.

The Green Party is UK’s biggest pro-European party in the European Parliament. We're respected for our determination and success leading the European Parliament’s work in fighting corporate tax-dodging and driving the EU's bold targets for renewable energy to replace fossil fuels. We've fought for the planet, for gold standard climate action, for human rights and for brighter, better, fairer futures for the young. We’ve secured EU investment for some of our least well-off communities and cities too.

As the most credible Remain party, this election is a serious opportunity for the Green Party and for us in the North West to get more MEPs elected on 23rd May 2019. If Gina Dowding succeeds as our Lead Candidate, she will be the first GREEN MEP for the North West.

“We've always stood up for what we believe in as Greens and have been proved right, time and again with the scientific facts that informed our policies and priorities. Other parties are trying to catch up but they're late, they’re weak on policy and time is short; none are in a better position than the Greens to actually tackle the climate catastrophe and ensure we're fighting for a future our young people can thrive in. Please help me to get elected; time is running out, let's not waste it and risk the future with anything less than genuinely Green politicians who will make change happen. Our political system needs re-booting and ours is the Party to do it.”

Green politicians are a breath of fresh air in the corridors of power and a wake-up call to the establishment; that they can’t get away with ignoring the stark reality of climate change, the cruel impact of austerity, the actual truths of what Brexit really means or the fact that they are out of touch and struggling to be relevant in a rapidly changing world.

Since the Referendum it has become much clearer, the damage that leaving the EU will cause. Whilst the other parties have let voters down with misinformation and promises that could never be lived up to, Greens have consistently made the case that we are better off inside the European Union, working to improve it and reform it.

The European elections use a fairer voting system and Greens do well in these elections. Now we want to give voters in the North West of England a chance to use their votes in this election to get our voices heard in Europe.

We’re asking for your help to fund our campaign. With such a short timeline, we need funds now to enable us to plan and deliver the campaign that’s needed.

Funds are needed to ensure voters hear our key messages.

If 500 people gave just £10 we'd hit our target.

If just 25 people gave £200 we'd hit our target.

By donating £5, £10, £20, £50 or even more today you can help us deliver this campaign. Those who voted Remain have not been heard. Those who campaign, march and protest for a safe environment for future generations, have not been heard. It’s time to do politics differently, with Green MEPs that work for the goals that matter.

Please support us today and we’ll build the bold, pro-Europe campaign that’s needed.

Because we're a political party: We're required to run permissibility checks on donations over £500. These will be completed as pledges are made. For the same reason, we cannot accept anonymous donations over £500. If you make multiple donations to us, they may be aggregated for our reporting purposes. Your details will appear in our election returns if valued over £500, and if you donate over £7500 your identity will appear on the Electoral Commission website.
