Donate today and give our Labour candidate Paul Martin a fighting chance of taking a council seat from the Tories in Wallasey!
Paul is young (34) and local. He has a young family of his own and most of his life has been lived in Wallasey. There are three Tory councillors at the moment and Paul would be a breath of fresh air and a great Labour Party Councillor for our local community.
Our volunteers are full of enthusiasm. We have been out canvassing since early February, talking and listening to local people about their concerns.
There is a real hope for a change to ensure a better quality of life for the many, not the few.
Our wonderful volunteers come free, but everything that we use in our campaigning that costs money - placards and posters, leaflets and letters - we raise the money ourselves.
We don't have a large fighting fund so anything that you can donate would be a big help! Your money will go to the Wallasey Branch of the Labour Party to help us to fund Paul's campaign in the local elections that will be held on 3rd May. The work doesn't stop then. Any donations left over will be put towards future organising and campaigning by Wallasey Branch Labour Party.
There are other things that you can do to get involved as well as donating cash. (Or instead of. If you don't feel able to contribute to our campaigning funds we don't want you to feel under any pressure to do so). None of them are really big things in themselves, but they all help and, taken together, they all add up and make a difference.
Join us on Facebook Wallasey Branch Labour Party and Twitter @LabourWallasey and share our posts with your family and friends. The wider our messages get out the better.
Help us in canvassing, knocking on doors and asking people which way they vote. If you haven't done it before, give it a try with one of our teams of volunteers that go out regularly.
Offer to deliver some leaflets. (We split them into rounds of about 200.)
Speak to family and friends about our campaign and encourage them vote.
Let us know if you would like a poster to put up in your window.
