Climate change is a reality. We have just 11 years left to prevent it from devastating our world and our children’s futures. This crisis affects all of us. It won’t be contained by borders or backstops, and it can’t be ignored.
But it’s not irreversible – yet.
The Green Party Northern Ireland believes that we can all rise to this challenge to take action and do things differently.
We’re starting here and now: with our local government, with you and with what it means to be Green.
Green means listening to young people, and thinking of their future.
Green means putting a stop to the industries threatening the quality of our water, air, food supply and landscape.
Green means moving beyond the old sectarian politics that have failed us.
Green means putting the interests of people ahead of developers and greed.
Green means fighting for everyone in Northern Ireland to enjoy their rights to live - and love – equally.
Green means knowing that the people of Northern Ireland believe in a shared future – even if the parties who’ve stalled our democracy at Stormont don’t.
Green means believing in the power of local government. We can do things differently when we work together.
