Help us run a successful election campaign in Putney against Tory MP Justine Greening and get the first ever Deafblind MP into Parliament!

by Ben Fletcher in London, England, United Kingdom

New stretch target

If we are lucky enough to receive more than £1000 in donations before 8 June, we will use the extra money to pay for additional campaign materials such as leaflets, posters, T-shirts, and badges, as well as to boost our social media posts online in order to get our message out to as many voters as possible.

Now that the Access to Elected Office Fund which used to support disabled people's participation in political life has been closed down by the Conservative government (see:, additional funds would also enable us to pay for qualified British Sign Language interpreters to support Ben's participation in campaigning activities, debates, and media interviews, rather than expect them to provide their professional services for free.

Many thanks for your generosity!

Stand Up for What Matters

We're a small party with big ideas.

We want to put up a Green Party candidate at the General Election on 8 June.

We think the people of Putney deserve a genuine alternative to the old-school politics-as-usual from the establishment parties.

Our candidate Ben Fletcher is a different kind of candidate. Ben is profoundly Deaf and visually-impaired, and his first language is British Sign Language. That makes him the first Deafblind person in British history ever to stand for Parliament! An impressive achievement.

Ben is also a passionate activist and campaigner for equality and human rights, a fairer, more democratic political system in the UK, and a cleaner, healthier environment for us all.

Originally from Yorkshire, Ben has lived in Southfields since 2014. Your donation will enable Ben to stand as the Green Party candidate in Putney against the incumbent Conservative MP Justine Greening.

Whatever you can give will help us to give a voice to those who think - as we do - that politicians should work for everyone, not just the wealthy few.

Support democracy by helping us give people in Putney the chance to vote Green

As an independent, grassroots party, the Green Party doesn't rely on big business donations to clear the path to democracy for us.

96% of our funding comes from membership and individual donations like yours. We refuse to accept big money from unethical sources, so please donate to our campaign so that we can be an even stronger progressive voice in Parliament.

We are aiming to raise £1000. This money will go towards paying Ben's electoral deposit and spreading the Green message from now until 8 June through leafletting, canvassing and public events.

Donate today!

Please give what you can to help Ben  run a successful campaign in Putney to oppose the unfair, unprogressive policies of the Conservatives and the failed opposition of Labour and the Lib Dems.

  • £10 will pay for a Green Party T-shirt for one of our campaign volunteers
  • £25 will pay for us to get 1000 leaflets printed
  • £500 will cover our candidate’s deposit

If you can't donate, but are able to give us some of your time, do get in touch – we would love to work with you! You can contact us by:

Please help us make history and deliver more Green MPs - and the UK's first ever Deafblind MP - to Parliament on 8 June!

Please note: if you wish to donate more than £500 in a year, you must be a citizen of the UK and on the UK electoral roll. Donations over £500 from any ineligible donor will be returned.
