Hello, welcome and from the bottom of my heart thank you for visiting my page! I am here because I am trying to raise some money to fund my further education. I am incredibly lucky to have been accepted on to the MA in Classical Acting at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. However, the course tuition fees alone for this course are over £18,000. Not coming from a wealthy background, I am not able to ask for money from my family so am attempting to fund my studies with a combination of a student loan, my own savings, a crowdfunder campaign and various trusts and charities.
Below is a little more information about my acting and charity work. I hope to continue using my knowledge and skills to engage more people around the world in the wonder of theatre and the arts.
I have been involved in acting and performance since the age of 8, and have been dedicated to making a career from acting ever since. My work thus far has taken me around the world, working in Spain, Ireland, Korea, South East Asia, and the UK. I have been lucky enough to experience some incredibly culturally diverse and socially important work, bringing theatre to disadvantaged children and communities both at home in the UK and abroad. Recently I have spent a lot of my time working with Lyngo Theatre, a children's theatre company based in Venice and touring around the UK and internationally. We work closely with specialist schools and charities for children with complex disabilities, sensory limitations and/or learning needs to produce accessible and magical theatrical experiences and workshops for children of all ages and backgrounds. We also work to provide refugee families with free tickets to our shows where possible.
Outside of the theatre, I have been involved with numerous charities and have raised over £15,000 for various causes. I organised a charity custard sit for Children in Need which raised over £2000 and was featured on the live BBC show. Myself and two friends spent 8 hours in a bath of cold custard, outside a local community centre. The Alzheimer's Society is an organisation which has been very close to my heart since my Grandfather suffered with early onset Alzheimers, and eventually passed away in 1998. In 2012 I jumped out of a plane at 13,000ft in aid of the society (I survived of course!). I raised over £6000 on this occasion by canvassing support from local restaurants, cafes and patrons. In 2018 I ran the Southend Half Marathon raising another £2000 for Alzheimer's Research. Other charities I have supported and raised money for include organising a large scale participation in Movember for men's health, car washing for Comic Relief and providing fostering for stressed dogs.
My hobbies include travelling, winter sports, cricket, dog walking, reading, playing the Ukulele, growing vegetables, baking and cooking.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this far. If you are able to help out in any small way, a donation would be hugely appreciated. Even a share on social media could help me reach my goal! I am available to run a variety of acting and theatre making classes for children and adults to further the reach of this funding campaign, and promote my cause further. Please feel free to contact me if this is something you would be interested in.
