I am a Health Professional on the front line asking for help. I have had car issues since October 2019 and will explain this further down the page.

I have been out of nursing for over a year and started getting calls from hospitals and agencies asking me to come back and help with the pandemic. Unfortunately I had to turn places of work down that were miles away due to financial restraints as this will cost a fortune in taxis.  This broke my heart having to say no due to transport issues and knowing hospitals were low on staff.  I felt so cross with Kia and the lease company.

I am now hiring a car from Enterprise and feel I am working and risking my own health, and not seeing my children to just pay for the hire car. Obviously the only reward is working and saving lives. But yet I am carrying the stress and worry about the car....

My car Kia Sportage 3 years old broke down in October 2019 with no warning whatsoever. The car got towed to the nearest Kia garage. No courtesy car were available, I received very bad service and along with bad manners from the staff. They basically said if I wanted them to investigate this it would cost me over £600 and then if it shows it is a manufacturing fault, warranty may be covered. But I did not want to take the risk especially when I leased the car through a leasing company. The car was only 3 years old with all servicing and MOT done. But due to being one month out of the service and taking into account I did not exceed the miles they said the warranty was invalid. Even though Kia advertise their 7 year warranty which is a scam in my experience!
The lease company still expected me to pay for the car even though this was no longer in my possession and they refused to help me in anyway.

The lease company without liaising with myself decided to repossess the vehicle from a local Kia dealership.  They then contacted me two weeks ago to let me know that the cost of the new engine will be £5k.  They did all this without letting me know, as I was going to get a second opinion – but they didn’t give me chance.

I want to raise awareness of the Kia 7 year warranty scam and also see if crowd funding can help me with the cost of another car so I can continue saving lives on the front line.

Please help a local hero!
