We want to continue to sustain and support people with brain injury and their families, by providing a telephone helpline and online support service.
This will ensure regular contact with someone they know; access to a telephone and online support network via zoom, providing online face to face advice, training and information and provide peer group activities and discussions, in a safe facilitated, environment.
it is clear from the first lockdown, that our service users and carers need this service to support their wellbeing and health, reduce anxiety, depresssion and isolation.
We believe that this use of technology will remain crucial for adults with brain injury for some years to come, supporting those new to brain injury on discharge from hospital.
Through the provision of this service we could also monitor any possible concerns and take necessary action should issues arise, reducing instance of clinical depression, return to hospital or breakdown in recovery.
There are no other organisations in our area of operation that provide this support for people following a brain injury.
