THANK YOU to everyone who has donated so far! Your donation will help us to develop our on-line interactive resources for children and young people with special educational needs.
Hear first-hand from one our families what a difference our on-line sessions are making: We've been shielding since March and haven't been outside in 20 weeks. Things are 'going back to normal' (apparently) but we just don't feel it's safe enough for our special family and we just can't risk it. We've been feeling very left behind and alone. We are so grateful for an exciting accessible activity to look forward to, thanks to our favourite people at Head2Head!
ABOUT OUR CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN
We're a small charity with a very special purpose
We're run mostly by volunteers (including our CEO), but we have a big vision! We provide amazing sensory theatre performances to children and young people with a wide range of disabilities - without us they would not be able to experience the magic of theatre.
We have adapted quickly for our families during lockdown
Lockdown has been hard for families of vulnerable children and we have adapted quickly so that they know they have not been forgotten during this crisis. Before lockdown we reached 3000 beneficiaries and their families each year through our performances. During lockdown we have quickly adapted and are providing on-line entertainment that is both interactive, sensory and fun. Our social media platforms are now being accessed by 3000 beneficiaries and their families across the UK per quarter.
In response to this very obvious need, our vision is to develop our on-line interactive resources for children and young people with special educational needs. By developing a suite of on-line activities and films, we aim to provide a set of resources that families can enjoy together. Initially, we will create a short, multi-sensory, signed film and an advance pack which will include lots of activities and sensory stories. Once a family has subscribed, they will be able to re-watch the performance as many times as they wish and take part in fun activities and games.
