We are looking to expand by getting into a permanent location where we can deliver our social mission of supporting refugees more regularly.

HAVEN Coffee’s social mission is to break false narratives about refugees and migrants throughout the UK by promoting refugee arts and artists (both visual & performing) as well as giving paid barista training to refugees to upskill them to be more employable in the UK job market.
As a founder of HAVEN Coffee and a refugee myself, I am an expert by experience when it comes to the issues refugees face adjusting to a new society, especially a diverse one such as the UK. Arts and Culture are the backbones of society and, by celebrating the contributions of migrant and refugee artists to UK society, we are determined to break false narratives along with helping refugees integrate into their new home.
We are already doing all this on a small scale by organizing art events, including comedy gigs and online art exhibitions as well as giving occasional paid barista training to refugees at market stalls. However, because of a limited budget, our reach is low. We now want to scale up our activities and for that, we need additional support
We are now looking for funding to obtain a permanent space where we can fully serve the refugee community by organising paid barista training as well as providing them with a job opportunity too. The profits that we earn from the sale of coffee and other items will be invested back into barista training as well as organising art events to support refugee artists.
