Half marathon London run for my friend & for MIND!
Not quite
Unfortunately this project was not successful.

I am running half marathon in London for MIND charity & for my dear friend who committed suicide & lost his life to a mental health battle.

Hello lovely people and welcome to my fundraising page! So its been a good few years since I have done any kind of sponsored run or fundraising, but I have signed up to run the Royal Parks half marathon this October 2018 in London.

I have chosen to run with the charity Mind, in order to contribute money and raise awareness for mental health as it is an issue that I have always believed so strongly about and I know affects everyone to some extent in our lives.

People of all ages with mental health problems have been stigmatised and marginalised for too long in our society. Our minds and bodies can be treated as separate things, but, in fact they are both equally as important as each other and deserve to be protected and nourished. Our NHS is tirelessly working towards our 'five year forward view' which aims to close these gaps and to improve our mental health services across the country, locally and on a national level. But our services STILL needs vastly improving and mental health awareness needs to be spread wider. I really believe that mental health can affect each and everyone of us at some point in our lives in one way or another and has proven to devastate some individuals worlds.

Very recently, sadly, a friend lost his life to mental health battles. He was incredibly intelligent and had admirable career goals within the NHS. I am very proud to have the opportunity to run this half marathon in memory of his beautiful soul and for Mind charity. Life is precious and so fragile, people need support.

So, please, if you can, sponsor me with whatever money you can. Each and every penny will go towards supporting individuals who need the support of others, and the support of Mind in difficult times.

Thank you SO much X
