Two ‘Roaming’ Catholics are preparing to walk the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall to raise money for a new chapel and parish hall at St Michael’s School near Newbury.
Auditor Chris Sudlow (28) and photographer John Aron (31) will follow in the footsteps of Roman legionnaires 2,000 years ago and complete the challenging 84-mile route in mid-September.
The congregation has outgrown the current chapel and on most Sundays that has left parishioners of all ages having to stand during Mass.
Given the long sermons, it can be quite a strain!
The adventure kicks off on the 18th Sepetember.
