Guitars and Amps needed for Music and Mentoring in HMP Stafford

by Changing Tunes Midlands in Stafford, England, United Kingdom

Who are Changing Tunes Midlands?

We carry out Music and Mentoring in prisons by embedding "Musicians-In-Residence"

Working with prisoners to change perspectives of themselves and their relationship to society, creating a positive gateway for change...

They gain self respect, hope and clearer view of who they can be instead of where they have been. Working with our musician enables artistic expression and a "ref-framing" of persons outlook on themselves, their capacity to achieve good things and take hold of a new way of seeing their relationship to society.

We recently started work in HMP Stafford and had a massive response from in- mates wanting to work with our Musician.  We help those who want to take our music and mentoring course and develop music with them, record their songs and create concerts, cds, and materials for them.  The only problem is they have a very limited numbers of instruments.

                We Need Instruments

  • 10 Acoustic Guitars
  • 2 Bass Guitars
  • 2 Bass Amplifiers
  • 4 Music Stands
  • 3 Mic stands
  • 3 Microphones
  • 2 Active PA Speakers
  • 1 Keyboard with Speakers
  • 1 Keyboard Stand

Without these instruments the opportunity to work with prisoners is lost and delayed through time lost.
