Our aim is to become a self sufficient club with a pop up bar for the 2022 season and improved facilities for our ever growing junior squad!

by Adele Craggs in Peterlee, England, United Kingdom

Peterlee cricket club currently has 4 senior teams and 3 junior teams. Our 1st, 2nd and 3rd team compete in the Durham and North East Cricket league. Our Sunday development team compete in the Hetton Lyons Development league. The club is volunteer based and relies solely on the players, parents and supporters to keep improving.

At present we don't have our own clubhouse which means going forward we cant provide revenue to keep the club self sufficient. Our aim is by the 2022 season is to build a 'pop up' bar to bring a steady income into the club to improve facilities for the junior set up we already put a huge amount of effort into. By 2023 we hope to have our own purpose built clubhouse and community gym.

The cricket club is huge part of the community and having a 'pop up' bar will mean we can host events, host tournaments and provide an income to ensure the club is still a huge part of the community in years to come.
