Grove Park Carnival

Grove Park Carnival

To resurrect the Grove Park Carnival after a 30 year absence, and provide a weekend of activities for everyone of all ages.

We did it!

On 1st Mar 2017 we successfully raised £70 with 4 supporters in 14 days

The Grove Park Carnival is scheduled to take place on the weekend on 12-13 August 2017 at Chinbrook Meadows, Amblecote Road, Grove Park SE12.

The Carnival event will take place on the Saturday (12 August). The last Carnival, we have been advised, took place more than 30 years ago.

Our Plan for the Saturday includes performing artists, skills workshops, local bands and singers who are looking for experience of performing on stage, community groups and local charities who want to raise their profile.

We aim to include a small parade. The details are yet to be finalised.

We plan for the music to continue into the early evening; our vision is for a beautiful summers evening, with soft music.

On Sunday (13 August) we plan to conclude the carnival weekend with the Chinbrook Dog Show. This is now an established event and has been running since its inception in 2012.

The Show is a fun event and has been very well attended. This year we have approached the Met Police Dog Training Unit with regards to them performing a display.

The Carnival is open for everyone of all cultures, races, gender, sexuality, religions, disability to take part, from young children to the elderly. We pride ourselves on being non-discriminatory and welcome all visitors.
