Having recently had our application accepted to raise funds on CrowdCube, we are now in the process of preparing a pitch, valued at £25 million. Every donation on CrowdFunder will help us seek specialist consultation and advice on building a successful pitch to attract investors, as well as an opportunity to invest and own a stake in Green Mileage through CrowdCube.

Green Mileage was established in 2005. Since then we have dedicated ourselves to developing an advanced organic fuel enhancer (additive). Where fossil fuels remain as one of the main sources of energy, we feel there is a growing need to address more urgently the reduction of toxic emissions, fuel-demand, performance and incomplete combustion.

Green Mileage has been set up to produce, market and distribute a multi-functional, organic fuel enhancer (additive/lubricant). Our formula substantially decreases carbon emissions by up to 90% combined, for both petrol and diesel engines. Thus improving air quality and reconciling the effects of global warming on human health and public welfare. Furthermore, an improvement in fuel efficiency by up to 35% - Way beyond the current market (less than 10%), allows for greater margins in end-consumer spending power and productivity. Offering multi beneficial attributes, effortless in application, our formula will provide users with a global advantage through a reduction in emissions and overheads.

Society is more mindful than ever about the use of harmful gases and chemicals, as markets continue to trend towards opting for greener solutions and a “green-driven” economy. This has been become paramount in protecting our planet, our environment, and future generations to come. A greater awareness spearheading a stronger sense of urgency to act and acclimatise to the effects of climate change. 95% of fuel is currently treated with such additives/lubricants, at an efficiency rate falling far short of our benchmark standard. By directly impacting the quality of burning fuel faster, and more efficiently at a rate recorded higher than any other product on the market.

How does Green Mileage work?
The application of our additive does not alter the composition of fuel molecules themselves; our formula positions itself in between these tightly bonded fuel molecules, elongating them so that when the charge is applied, it weakens these bonds, allowing fuel to be dispersed as a mist. The standard ‘slow burning’ fuels do not combust completely, resulting in fuel waste and a build up of carbon deposits long term.

In normal conditions, fuel enters the engine as large droplets, with a relatively small surface area for their size. This means not enough oxygen within the combustion chamber can react with the fuel in the short time allowed. This is known as incomplete combustion, which wastes fuel, as it produces much less energy than a complete combustion process. This failure to realise all of the potential energy within the fuel, reduces horsepower, torque, acceleration and ultimately affecting fuel economy/efficiency.
When the spark plug ignites the air-fuel mixture, the expansion of the combusting fuel pushes the pistons in a downwards motion. Fuel is still burning in the upward stroke and continues burning in exhaust pipe as wastage.

Green mileage fuel enhancer atomises fuel so that it enters the engine in smaller droplets, which increases the surface area for the reaction with oxygen to take place. This results in an optimal burn rate, ensuring that complete combustion takes place. Complete fuel combustion can then take place inside the combustion chamber, enabling far more kinetic energy to be produced from the small amount of fuel, while also reducing wastage.

How does burning fuel faster improve efficiency of combustion?
The piston motion from beginning to end takes approximately 20 milliseconds. With an engine running at 3000RPM, normal fuel will not burn fast enough before being pushed out from the piston, as not enough oxygen within the piston chamber can react with the fuel in the short time allowed. Subsequently the fuel’s chemical energy is not fully converted into kinetic energy - to power the engine. Fuel is wasted, heating up the exhaust pipe and atmosphere while comprising the power and full capacity of the engine.
Incomplete Combustion compromises - fuel usage - reduces horsepower – torque - acceleration. Over time, the development and accumulation of carbon deposits reduces the space available for fuel to burn with oxygen, which reduces overall efficiency and performance even further.
Real-life scenario hypothesis, what we would expect...
If the consumer saves money on fuel, we would expect...
We would expect that as fuel cost per km traveled decreases (and cost per kilometers of kinetic energy goes down) that service providers will generate higher profits (larger margins) and would likely enable the reduction of cost of services, potentially capturing an increased consumer base, therefore increasing productivity further.
End-Consumer Spending Power
As transportation costs are a significant outlay for the population, any savings will have knock-on effects for consumer spending/consumption across the economy due to increased spending power (increased Disposable Personal Income). Private & public transportation costs aside, the secondary effects via the reduced cost of food and services will also further increase spending power.
All businesses that are consumers of fuel will experience immediate increases in profitability as the fuel efficiency transmits to higher profit margins. Consequently, these businesses will be able to grow, employing more staff and thereby paying more taxes. Furthermore, we expect that increased profit margins will lead to a reduction in costs of services supplied, expanding the breadth of the consumer base, yet again increasing profitability and creating further growth.
Why we asking for your support
We endeavor to ground Green Mileage into a unique strategic marketing position that creates a strong competitive edge and a realistic framework to better co-ordinate businesses and clients supporting climate change. We aim to establish global networks and increase awareness that support Green Mileage initiatives, working with governments to adapt policy recommendations in order to reduce our global carbon footprint.
We recognise the evermore demanding feat for developing nations already burdened with the ongoing challenges of their respective economic issues/debt, stable energy and power infrastructure.
How much Green Mileage are looking to raise
We are looking to raise a total sum of £44,000 GBP for the following;
* Developing a winning go-to-market strategy, maximising the impact of our product and service.
* Advocating the rapid potential impact, our product and service could have on reducing emissions. Presenting our product in Paris, for the Paris Climate Change Agreement.
* Packaging design for additive sample packs (before traveling to Chicago).
* Travel expenses to Chicago, for product review/interview,
capturing live footage (4k slow motion) of the additive
within a see-through combustion engine.**(CrowdCube milestone)
* Specialist consultation fees, professional business plan,
company literature review.
Why support Green Mileage?
The founders of Green Mileage took a leap of faith and embarked on a journey to marry their entrepreneurial spirit with an ideology, based on well-rounded, green chemistry principles.
This is a project very close to our hearts, understanding how best to enable its benefits on a mass scale with little to no convenience to the end consumer, was fundamental in emanating our purpose, and direction in changing the tide on actively reducing global emissions. We have taken Green Mileage as far as we can at this stage, given the manpower, personal finance and time we have collectively invested.
Using the knowledge and experience gained on our journey thus far, we hope to compile and outsource this information to specialist consultants, whom are better positioned to advise, prepare and market Green Mileage for suitable investor-partnerships.
