Stand Up for What Matters
In 2010, the people of Brighton Pavilion said ‘No’ to politics as usual and elected Caroline Lucas to represent them in Parliament. With your support we can help ensure Bury St Edmunds elects it's first Green MP in the Eastern region to stand up for what matters.
Why We Need Your Help
As the second Green MP in the UK, it is vital Helen is elected. We need her standing up in Parliament for a truly public NHS, against tuition fees, and putting forward an alternative to the Parliaments cruel austerity measures. We need her persistent voice calling for warm, affordable homes and for action to tackle the climate crisis.
With Helen in Parliament, she will be a vocal voice for the people of Bury St Edmunds, holding the Government to account, fighting for a Green New Deal bill and working with Caroline Lucas in the House of Commons and Natalie Bennett and Jenny Jones in the House of Lords.
Having another Green MP elected will mean we can do even more work then we
The Green Party don’t have the big business backing of the establishment parties or the limited company of the Brexit Party. Campaigns are powered by our members and supporters. With a General Election only weeks away, an opposition not backing remain, the Lib Dems ignoring leave voters and the Brexit and Tories want to join a pact and take us out of the European Union gagged. So your help is needed more than ever before.
By donating to the campaign to elect Helen you can help ensure there’s a second gutsy, progressive Green voice in Parliament after the General Election – a perfect present to the voters of the future.
The Impact
Hitting our target will allow us to fund and deliver a direct message, run an effective social media campaign and reach more voters then ever before in Bury St Edmunds. This will highlight her track record, showcase her work as a local Councillor and reflect that as an effective MP and make the case for electing her at the General Election.
Other Ways You Can Help
If you feel you are not able to contribute financially, you can still help elect Helen by telling your friends or sharing this page on social media and to stay up to date on her recent activity. You can also volunteer for the campaign by signing up here.
Finally, of course, don’t forget that your vote counts on polling day! (Whenever the General Election is called)
Many thanks for your help.
All the best,
#TeamHelen #ItsHelenForBury
