greek dog rescue mission to the uk.
We did it
On 22nd October 2018 we successfully raised £750 with 10 supporters in 35 days

I am tying to raise funds to rescue an abandoned dog on the island of crete and bring her to the uk to live in a forever home.

New stretch target

750 will cover the care for this dog to get to the uk. However the situation in crete is desperate with shelters struggling to care for all the abandoned and homeless dogs. All additional money i will donte directly to the shelters for more land and kennels etc and uk based charities that help this cause of rescuing these animals and caring for them on a daily basis

On a recent trip to Crete I became friends with a dog who I later discovered had been abandoned and left to fend for herself, she lives in the hotel garden where i stayed and survives on people feeding her, I didn't realise at the time the sad situation on the island with many abandoned animals, I tried to find her a home on the island but shelters are full and volunteers overworked and stretched to capacity. To give this dog a chance in life I feel responsible to try to save her. I would like to raise enough money to bring her to the UK. This will include costs to collect her from the streets and treat her and vaccinate her and get her a passport, then arrange flights to transport her from the island to here in the UK where I hope to have a home waiting for her.

The cost I am trying to raise will cover this any shortfall I will fund myself and any excess money I intend to donate direct to the animal shelters who have helped me, both in the uk and on the island so they may use it to improve the life of the animals and awareness of the problem.
