I am a volunteer at Hopes and Beams and I cannot describe the work rate and time the co founders Iain and Jane have put into the charity for over 28 years they have worked 6 days a week for 15 hours a day providing a venue which is safe and fun for all. The Golden memories club is a environment where like minded people can share thoughts and stories. There are Jigsaws and newspapers along with a pool table which supports the gentleman of the group to interact and enjoy the company. The carers need to talk and share their concerns and worries this group is a place for people to be safe and talk but also keep memories alive. There is three volunteers that support the staff and without this session the people will be lost and unsupported. I have watched people sadly deterite through ill health but also see the loved ones face the loneliness question and this is what teh club does it offers help and support.
