About The EP
First of all, no bees were harmed in the making of this! We've been working really hard on this record for the past year, piecing together studio time and learning how to self-produce. It hasn't been easy but we're all the more proud of it because of that and we can't wait for you to hear it. On it are 4 juicy songs - the title track is about the environmental issues we are facing today, the second 'Beast' is about living with a mental health problem, then there's a cover that you won't be expecting and the final is about a head injury that almost stopped the project in its tracks. You're going to love it. (The EP, not the head injury!)
Where your money will go
With your help, we will be able to finish the project and get it out into the world. The final steps include:
- Paying for mixing & mastering
- CD production
- Merchandise manufacturing
- Opening an online store
- PR & Marketing
- Music videos for two singles 'I Killed The Bees' & 'Beast'
- A launch gig
- Reimbursing our collaborators
We hope to start generating an income from our music, performances and merch sales and after this first step, we will be able to make more and more music but we can't do it without you.
The story so far...
Last year, TYGERMYLK recorded and released their debut single 'What God Would Keep Us Apart' independently and were lucky enough to gain substantial coverage and launch the song at Brighton Pride. This was all made possible with the PRS Foundation Linsey De Paul Prize for female songwriters and a grant from The British and Irish Modern Music Institute. TYGERMYLK was formed when Hayley Harland and Aurora Bennett met on the first day of uni. Harland had been writing and releasing music since she was 14 and this collaboration marked the next stage of her musical evolution. They are set to play Glastonbury, The Great Escape and Isle of Wight Festival this year.
"A delicate, uplifting slice of lilting balladry" - The Line of Best Fit
"Beautifully moving" - BBC Introducing
Why we need your help
This record is so special to us, we really want it to have the best chance of success. Hayley spends most of her time working as a busker on the Southbank and London Underground, Aurora is a student and the band do not have the financial backing of a major label. We are releasing this entirely independently, without your support, we simply wouldn't be able to get the EP out there. We're so close now, take a look at all our rewards and please give what you can!
