Here at Kelly-Abbot Dance Theatre (KADT) we need your help to raise funds to be able to take our amazing Launch Day cast into local communities, and in turn, bring those locals into the show.
Launch Day breathes life into The Gadgies, local working class ship builders and working men depicted as characters in Alexander Millar’s paintings. Celebrating the working man, and showing his life with honesty.
This is our most ambitious cross-art form project to date, and we’d love to bring this work into the communities it is inspired from, and involve those people in this work.
Every penny you are able to give us will support the delivery of workshops across the entire tour, and allow us to create a community cast to feature in our show. As well as this it also facilitates us to work with primary and secondary schools to create curtain raisers (opening community works) for the shows on the tour.
