My show 'Welcome To My Cuntry' is a queer-coming-of-age-one-woman-comedy-show that was just performed in Brighton’s queer theatre, The Marlborough Pub and Theatre. Blending stand-up comedy, performance art, multi-media, bad dancing and Americans as you've never seen them before. The show asks what happens to sexuality when one leaves the cuntry, or country, they built a life in. More importantly, how does one welcome someone to their cunt(ry), when it isn't the one that they came from?
After the success of the premiere, I would very much like to take it to Brighton, Manchester and Edinburgh fringe 2020. However, I am mostly doing this by myself and taking a show to the fringe is in no way a cheap thing to do. My show may not be the most important issue worth donating, but any donation would be amazing and go towards hire costs, fringe applications, brochure costs, travel and accommodation. I am currently in the process of applying to Brighton and Manchester fringe, and trying to do it in the most economically financial way, so any donations really do count.
And finally, I am hoping I can make profits for my show which I will donate to a charity that I am very passionate about - Mind UK.
