Thanks to everyone who has donated, the support means a lot!
With it being approximately £200 for every FIS competition I do, I can now go to another competition this season thanks to you all!
I've been quiet on the updates of late! Had a lack of internet for a while, and I've been busy with training and trying to catch up with everything since.
However training has been going great, the weather's been a bit nicer of late, so we've been able to ride kickers and see things! Here's a picture to show you how variable the weather can be up on the glacier this time of year!
Areas I've really been working on with GB Snowboard Cross team coach Jimbo have been:
- Kicker technique for racing - staying compact, keeping straight absorbing or pre-ollieing the jump to minimise time in air
- Carving - holding a clean edge whilst still being able to absorb bumps and rollers, very important in racing
- Straightlining - starting at the top of the slope and riding straight on a flat base, to get used to going very fast like in a race!
Here's a video of some of my kicker practice, heading into the kicker pretty fast!
I've been making great progress and I'm feeling confident going into my first competition, the Montafon World Cup which is on this weekend! I'll be leaving Hintertux on Wednesday for it!
Like I said I've been working hard whilst not training, I've been working and negotiating a new gift which will be available fingers crossed tomorrow!
It's pretty amazing, so keep an eye out for it!
Otherwise! Please keep helping by sharing my page and my project to as many people as you can; with your friends, family, online. Every little helps!
