After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis I lost 3 stone. I was at my perfect weight and I was so happy. Due to having immunosuppressants I was at greater risk of infection, my neurologist wanted me to see a dermatologist as sometimes my acne got inflamed and infected which put me at risk of an MS flare. The dermatologist put me on the pill as a way to control my acne and it worked.
I started gaining weight and tried my hardest at the gym to counteract any weight gain. I hadn’t realised my weight gain was from the pill, although lots of women face this. A year later I started to research into weight gain and saw that Cushings disease could be the culprit. I had my cortisol tests and it was through the roof. I then waited almost a year to see a specialist who told me it could be because of the pill. By this point I’d gained 6 stone and my fatigue was to bad to go to the gym
