We did it
On 18th September 2020 we successfully raised £2,050 with 36 supporters in 21 days

Creating extra covered space in the garden to enjoy drinking and socialising safely. We're repurposing the old petanque pitch.

New stretch target

Every penny will be used to set up a bigger, better garden room.

We can make it more comfortable, with better equipment and furnishings to provide a traditional but enjoyable and safe space to use.

Changing Times

Mingling at the bar used to be the norm. Now a constant trickle is more usual.

While friendly chatter still provides a nice hubbub around the place, we are aware that extra space will be required. The lawn tables and Pavilion offer space for groups to meet and chat across a wide space, so it's great to have that option.

The area which is underused is the old petanque pitch, so we will develop the area to provide a covered shelter offering comfortable space to meet and chat.

It may be a tent, marquee or something more solid with lights and heat. We can move the new picnic benches into the space, or buy new suitable furniture.

One possible option shown here.

We will add cushions and blankets, flooring and signage if the kitty allows. Every donation will help, whether you use the garden or just want to help support us to keep trading over the winter.

All the funds we receive will be used for this project, plus investment from Martin and myself. Suggestions and comments welcome.

Cheers and thank you for your support and encouragement.
