Fusion Radio was first launched by myself Paul Hulse in October 2017, quite a lot of work went into the station to make it better, however it was unfortunate that I had to take the decision of closing the station due to lack of funding, the station had no profit but succeeded on listeners globally, our weekly reports for the station showed we were hitting in excess of 2,000 listeners per day. As a station we struggled to get any sponsorship therefore it was in March 2018 that I decided to take the station off the airwaves.
The aim now, is to try and gain funding that will re-set up Fusion Radio, so that we can re-brand our image, provide top of the hour news bulletins and reach out to gain sponsorship as a stepping stone for the first few months.
Lots of planning will be starting for our set up over the next two months and Fusion Radio will then re-launch in January 2019 once we have everything in place so that we are confident that the station will stay on air for many years to come.
Early indications that I can share at this point is that Fusion is a Decade Hit Music Station, that plays music from 60s up to 2000s with Reggae, Soul, Motown and more... presenting you with LIVE Traffic and news updates including showbiz news, we will have you as the audience being able to interact with the station along with a talk show in the pipeline.
All we need is funding to help with licensing fees and advertising so we can gain business sponsorship, we have to pay for our professional voiceovers and our news broadcasters from the sky news centre.
In the long run, once set up after this, Fusion would like to be able to interact with the community and hopefully be able to provide training within Radio Presenting and once financially stable, we can bring new presenters onboard to the station with job opportunities after training, so that we have a wide variety for our listeners globally.
Fusion Radio is a big passion to myself and I want this to work and succeed for the long run, also having the listeners to be involved should they wish, topical debates, great Decade music and various features and more.
So if you can donate to my project I would be most grateful for your input to this Radio Station that will launch in January 2019 which will be available online, via mobile app on iOS and Android and also through Alexa and Sonas.
