Hi, I'm a stay at home mum and want to open my own business making and supplying children's clothing and accessories.

by Carissa in Newton, England, United Kingdom

Hi, I am Carissa. I am nearly 27 years old and I am a stay at home mummy to 4 young children, 2 of whom are disabled so I am a full time carer to them along side my husband who I am a full time carer too as well. I have always worked full time from being 16 years old along side being at college where I left with good gcses and a levels. I have worked in shops, restaurants and been a professional carer to dementia patients but I no longer have time to go back into that type of work now with my children's disabilities; I have to be here for them 24/7 to work around their needs and appointments.

I am wanting to start my own business called 'The Fairytale Bowtique' making children's clothing and hair accessories. I have always made my children's clothing and hair accessories for my daughter's and have always had comments on them and asked if I will make some for friends and family but I never had the confidence to jump in and make it a business. However I'm now at a point were I am ready to take the leap and make a better life for my children as well as setting up a full or part time successful business.
