Last week 28th January at 5 am a male fuelled up with alcohol tried to get into our house via the front and back doors after kicking open our back gate I was terrified as I was in the house with my son who has autism the guy spat on the window at my son and pulled faces and made obscene hand gestures at us through the windows when he could not get into our house he then destroyed the large gate to our back garden.  The police were amazing and arrived really quickly

Unfortunately, now I am feeling very unsafe with no safe back garden gate and no security lighting which means anyone can get through to the back of the house The council have said that they do not pay for new gate despite the circumstances involved even though we have a crime number I cannot afford to buy a new gate or install good security lighting so it would be wonderful if anyone felt they could help me towards getting a new gate. Thank you.
