Why I want to move to Poole and my aim when I get there!

Every time I visit Poole, I leave a little piece of me there when I leave.  Someday soon, I will have nothing of me to leave and it is at this point that I hope to stay forever!

My mental health has suffered greatly during lockdown, as it has for a lot of people!  Moving from my home town for a new life to an area that I really love and be amongst new friends will be the making of me after so many years of being in a lonely wilderness!

I have one son who is all grown up and doing his own thing!  I am single and therefore free to live my life as I please…..funds permitting!

Poole has so much to offer and for children, it’s the most amazing place!  Sadly, there are a lot of children from disadvantaged backgrounds whereby a holiday or even a day trip to Poole or even the seaside, will be just a dream!

So, all you lovely generous people, this is where you come in!

My current financial position will not allow me to buy a house within a 5 radius of Poole Quay.  It will only allow for a two bed apartment…..which is not ideal!

If I can raise enough funds to buy a house, I want to then be able to give a free two week holiday to children from said backgrounds once a year.  There will be no charge!  All food will be paid for and so will all entrance to any attractions and places we visit!  The only things they will need are their clothes.  I will create lovely bedrooms for them.  Both girls and boys rooms.

I never went on holiday with my parents because we didn’t have the funds.  I am half way, financially to buy a house but I need the extra for my dream to be realised.

I used to work in the Social Work arena and have seen some particular cases where my heart has been torn because of some of the lovely children that I have seen who will never see the sea, have a holiday or experience lovely days out.

This has been at the back of mind for more than twenty years.  Lockdown has given me the time to think this through and put plans in place to do this!

My house has been valued and it is ready to be put on the market.

I have 200k in my pot!   That is cash that will go towards a house.  A house that will hopefully give children a happy holiday!

I would be extremely grateful for anything you can afford.
