The hardship caused by Covid-19 should not mean that any family or member of the community should go without food & drink.

by Fund The Foodbank in Shirley, England, United Kingdom

Crowdfunder is making it 100% free for community and charity crowdfunding projects during the coronavirus crisis. The Covid-19 epidemic could affect millions of people in the next few weeks.

Placed on Furlough throughout April, May & June I volunteered for a number of food banks in and around Birmingham & Solihull. I had known from the press how important food banks are but hadn't realised just how many people rely on them & how much they struggle getting enough supplies to cover every requirement. This unfortunately is only going to get worse...

This fundraising is specifically to raise funds and support a whole host of food banks in the Birmingham & Solihull region to allow them to stock up on long-life foods & ensure enough supplies to continue to provide the remarkable service they provide to those most in need.

Throughout the course of this project, regular updates will be provided confirming the donations to a number of different food banks. These will most notably be in the most deprived areas of Birmingham & Solihull.

All food banks are currently seeing a very high demand for the service which will increase over the winter period, especially now that the financial impacts of Covid19 are being felt within all communities, UK wide.

Thank you to anybody who donates to this page & anybody who takes the time to share. It really will make a difference!

These are unprecedented times but together, we are stronger, and the response is coming from communities across the country. However, the financial support is what underpins the work some of these fantastic organisations do.
