Amazing things are happening in a small valley in Flintshire – Clwyd Special Riding Centre offers therapeutic riding, carriage driving, equestrian vaulting, hippotherapy and equine learning and therapy sessions to people with additional needs. Each week, more than 250 participants benefit from these activities with the help of a large volunteer workforce.
These activities help build and improve on a number of different skills including confidence, wellbeing, communication, core strength, coordination and flexibility. CSRC also has accommodation for riding holidays for people with additional needs and Riding for the Disabled Groups across the UK.
At CSRC we have 32 acres of grazing and outdoor riding land (a 2km all weather track) to maintain including the fencing. A large area of fencing requires replacing as it is now over 17 years old.
A local trading company have agreed to source the posts at a great rate, but we need your help to purchase them. This means that to repair the 120 metres of fencing it will cost us just over £1000.
Any extra money we will raise will buy more fencing allowing us to replace other areas that are becoming aged and make spot repairs to areas our horses damage.
