The Cambridge Schools Eco Council was formed by a small group of mums in February 2019 at the first Cambridge Youth Strike 4 Climate, held in response to Greta Thunberg's call for young people to strike for action on climate change and the extinction crisis.

We have young people ranging from 7 to 27 representing primary schools, secondary schools, sixth form college and university.

We meet regularly and plan monthly actions that are part of the international YS4C movement.

Our members have taken part in interviews on local radio, spoken to our MP Daniel Zeichner, given a presentation to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Michael Gove, and given talks to local businesses.

Any money raised here will be used to promote the work of these amazing young people, fighting for a safe future for themselves and the living world.

Our crowd has raised over £70 million for bright ideas and good causes.
