This Summer, the newly founded company Continental Entertainment is taking their play Frog's Legs to the Fringe for most of August. Having split from Double Edge Drama due to creative differences, Sam Scruton and Hughie Shepherd-Cross join Rory Wilson and Nathan Brown in this production. We will be performing at the Underbelly's Dairy Room at 11:50am from the 31st July - 26th August.
We have of course contemplated the alternatives to a Crowdfunding page.
-Synopsis: Martin and Duncan are outraged to find that their local pub has been turned into a ‘pub-themed-cafe’ by the new owner. They immediately assume that he is French and devise a series of increasingly ludicrous and unsuccessful schemes to ruin his life.
-Rory Wilson stars as Duncan
-Nathan Brown stars as Franc and wrote the songs
-Sam Scruton stars as Martin
-Hughie Shepherd-Cross wrote the script and plays a few cameos
A month might be a long time, but we get on extremely well.
Sadly, despite Nathan Brown recently being employed as a Tesco Delivery Driver, we are struggling to cobble together enough money to cover all the up front costs of the Edinburgh Fringe. We would like to be as honest as possible about where any donations will go to:
-Fringe Registration Fee- £393.60
-Fringe Brochure Fee- £600
-Up Front Venue Rental Fee- £1646.79
We were lucky to make a small profit from our three day run in Oxford which has covered the props which we bought for the first run and a small part of these costs. So we have set the target as £2000.
All spending will be transparent and documented.
All sponsors will have tickets reserved for them on whatever day they want and will receive a piece of Frog's Legs Merchandise.
Thank you very much.
