Nightingale primary school are lucky enough to have their school pool, but with local and national government cuts it is not considered a priority. Despite this, our school community feel it is important enough to raise money for. The pool itself has been used by Nightingale school for more than 30 years, seeing countless children learn to swim and gain water safety skills. Even some our teachers and parents have learned to swim there over the years.
With the government and health professionals striving to keep children active, it seems that the pool would continue to be a huge asset to our school and our plan is to ensure that the financial needs are met to take pressue off an already stretched budget.
Over the coming year, there are many fund raising events happening and we hope that by crowdfunding, we can meet our target quicker.
