As part of masters degree I looked into adapting Dancing at lughnasa (Brian Friel) into a musical, I had written material but unfortunately due to rights I can't advertise a musical version. This then led me to creating my own piece and taking the material I had written and setting it in the present in Ireland. It follows themes of women, what's expected of them, the 8th amendment abortion laws, and explores the power of storytelling through song. I am working with 5 wonderful women. I hope to get this project on its feet for the Liverpool Irish Festival October 2018, develop it,cover costs for travel and venue hire and hopefully take it to the Liverpool and Edinburgh Fringe 2019. ????????
