For Men To Talk is a chance for men suffering with anxiety, depression and grief to talk with other fellow sufferers.

by For Men To Talk in Potton, England, United Kingdom

Good afternoon,

My name is Luke Newman from Potton, Bedfordshire.

In late December 2019, I set up a Facebook group called 'For Men To Talk’ giving men who are suffering with anxiety, depression and grief to talk with other fellow sufferers and improve their well-being.

Please find two links to my personal stories written by the BBC (www.bit.ly/BBCFMTT & www.bit.ly/FMMTCV). I have suffered with anxiety and grief from losing both my Mum and sister to cancer, but have always been open with my mental illness. I know alot of people aren't, especially men. I want to change that with 'For Men To Talk'.

Before lock-down, we started to have over 20 men per session attend our first few ‘For Men To Talk’ group meetings at the start of 2020 in Jones' café in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. Obviously since March 2020, I have moved weekly online via Zoom and going from strength to strength.

Got an idea like this?

Over £100 million has been raised from our crowd to support the projects they love! Plus tens of millions more unlocked by our partners.
