Forest school is an essential part of our outdoor learning, and brings significant benefits to the children's mental health.

New stretch target

We'd love to be able to create an outdoor learning space that it's only a shelter but also a space that the children can use in bad weather to learn about the environment whilst still being within the forest.

Reaching our stretch target will allow us to get started on the structure much earlier and ultimately mean the children will benefit sooner.

As a school we are always seeking ways to help our children's mental health and well being. This is particularly important with the current challenging circumstances of school closures due to COVID.

We are constantly looking for ways to develop and enhance our outdoor learning experiences in school, as we believe that when our children are active that can significantly benefit their mental health.

We would like to update our forest school provision further with a purpose built forest school shelter and equipment to allow our children to spend more time in nature.
