To distribute food and clothing to local families who need support

To add lights to enable us to stay open longer during the winter months.

Enfield Women's centre provides a safe place for local women and their families who may be marginalised or financially challenged. In addition to providing counselling, training and support, we work with individuals towards economic independence and to become stakeholders in their own community rather than passive recipients of services. This year, we entered a new phase where local people started to generously donate clothing, toiletries and household items to those in need i.e. low-income individuals, key workers and those experiencing medical or mental issues. We have also been fortunate that our local Sainsbury’s has provided a much-needed food bank service. The result is a happy “problem” of so many donations and not enough space in our little charity to house everything to enable us to carry on with our usual services. By buying this shed, we can safely store, organise and distribute these items to the local people in need particularly as we approach winter and hopefully scale this service going forward. Thank you so much for reading, any donation would be hugely appreciated.
