The artificial sports area/nets, has a five a side football court. Lights are required to raise winter income and help financial recovery

by Gordon Lewis in Himley, England, United Kingdom

The club is 137 years old and is regularly attended by 200 plus children during the summer months. As well as running 5 sides on a Saturday frequent boot camp and keep fit sessions are attended by more than 100 people weekly throughout the year. I have been chairman of the organisation for 25 years and have seen it develop to the club and community hub it is today. As you can imagine the current Covid 19 pandemic has seen the most important part of the clubs finances totally obliterated. The new artificial sports area which includes a 5 a side court is redundant in the winter months. The installation of floodlights will allow the facility to be rented to junior football clubs for evening training sessions. It will allow us to raise much needed funds to help our recovery.
