Contribution to advertising costs to complete any incentives offered and production of a roll of honour to be placed in the clubhouse. Additional costs would cover other miscellaneous items to do with construction of the training nets system.

We are raising funds to replace our existing cricket training nets at our club.

About our club

We are a cricket club which supports the Menheniot and Looe areas. We provide training, playing opportunities, and support to players and social members aged from 9 to 90.

Our club has had the honour of being chosen by Cornwall Cricket to be the East Cornwall hub of Women and girls cricket coaching.

We hold regular Monday night training sessions at our ground in Fourgates (Menheniot) not only for women's cricket, but also youth and senior training. This training continues all week, with matches usually at weekends.

The plan for the new nets

The nets system we have in place at the moment is not fit for purpose in enabling us to provide essential training and cricket enjoyment for people interested in cricket in our area. The netting has become irrepairable and the posts supporting it are weak.

We wish to replace what we have with a brand new, longer lasting, net system. Instead of being exposed and more dangerous, the new nets will be contained in a purpose built cage. The nets will also be detached and stored over the winter to prevent deterioration. This will make our cricket net training safer and more enjoyable. We plan to use the existing base, with the possibility of placing an improved matting material to closer reflect a real Cornwall cricket pitch.

Your help will be very appreciated by all at the club, it will enable us to effectively continue with our youth training, and build a healthy future for our club.
