The Firefly All Star Cheerleaders are based in Winchester, UK run by the founder and creator of The Firefly theatre school Jess Leavins and assistant coach Amy Binns. We provide classes across Hamphire using cheerleading as a way for children and teenagers to work together, learn new skills and have fun in an interactive and social sport. Our teachers branch out to local schools to teach this newly loved sport as well as run youth classes at local gyms and school halls. We aim to provide techniqual, stongly lead cheerleading and dance classes, however ensuring that the atmosphere and experience isn't as dawnting and as serious as some. We ensure our children learn through fun and play and have a smile on their face.
Recently within the squad our numbers in children wanting to participate has grown, meaning for us as an all stars team we have experimented with creating dance squads and level 1&2 stunt teams. These teams have practiced and competed at local compertitions and events. On the other hand, we're such a new team with little funds to progress we're struggling to help our squad take that next step to placing at compertitions and expanding their possibilities. Our children have worked incredibly hard on improving their skills and working collaborativly becoming a strong team. However, everything revolving around renting space in Winchester and Cheer equipment itself being highly expencive we're struggling to progress any further. Our main goal is to improve our cheerleading classes with better resources to help them improve. This crowdfunder page is to raise as much money as possible to gain us:
- An air track
- Cheer Uniform
- Large/Better rehearsal space
- Tumbling equipment
- Matts
- Our own warehouse with sprung flooring (eventually...)
Gaining any of these means that our children can not only progress but enter more compertitons and have a higher chance of placing. The team members all have the determination, skills and positive attitudes to make it further in the UK Cheerleading community. The team would be grateful for any pennies you could spare. With your help we can progress further and help the team get stronger and get to where they wish to be.
