To create a space to create. Enabling new video content to be created and a space for the community to use to create.

New stretch target

If I had an extra amount of funding I would hire a professional videographer for the day to film my Beginners Sewing Course.

For the past 6 years I have taught craft classes at Beautiful Things Head Quarters (a.k.a BTHQ).

I've seen hundreds of people come into my space and learn to make many things.  From knitters to sewers, cardmakers and glass fusers, I've seen them all learn many new skills.

I've enjoyed absorbing the atmosphere and general feeling of confidence and accomplishment when people learn and create and in recent years I've taken my tuition online to reach a larger audience worldwide.

I want to develop this side of my business more and offer bigger and better online courses and more free tutorials on my YouTube channel.

At present the space I have to create my online content is limited and so I want to have a bit of a studio overhaul.

It's time to invest in some new furnishing and camera equipment to make my content creation easier and more streamlined.

I want to create a mini studio within my studio dedicated to content creation.  A mini sewing station & cutting table with a fixed camera rig and lighting.

In doing this I will be able to offer longer, more in-depth courses of a far higher standard.

I will also be able to create the long-awaited and much asked for Beginners Sewing Course as an online course. We have taught this course for 7 years in the studio and are always asked if it will ever become an online course.  With this space, I can make it happen.

To give back, when the space is not being used by me, I want to be able to offer it to my clients and staff to come and use freely.

Perhaps you have some projects to cut out or would like to undertake your own filming task.  If so the space will be available to be utilised.

I don't need a large amount of money to create this new area. Most of the furniture for instance just needs a bit of a rejig!

I do however need a small amount of camera equipment and some new cutting tables along with a small amount of sewing equipment.

I want the 'mini studio' to be completely stand-alone from our main classroom and be fully equipped for all to use.
