Live performance attendee numbers (across all arts’ genres) have been decimated by Covid-19, while video streaming viewing has spiked, accelerating an already fast-growing sector. The world's biggest and best festivals need an approach to stay connected to their fans while rebuilding confidence in travelling to Edinburgh Fringe, Lollapalooza and more.
Festv is a new streaming service for lovers of arts festivals. With comedy, live music, theatre, dance and all genres of arts performances, it provides a daily burst of delight for those who can’t attend in person or want to recapture the experience long after the festival has shuttered. Combing live venue with on-demand video from acts from around the world, Festv caters for everyone.
Built on three pillars: performers and their stories; daily shows (in front of a live audience); and (unique) host city experiences; Festv will post content before, during and after festivals. In year one, our premium (paid) content will be 24 episodes, shown each day. All using live streaming, hosted by renowned comedian, combining short performances and chat show format.
For festival attendees, an intimate venue hosts live shows. Live feedback is crucial, for remote viewers, to create atmosphere and a spontaneous and connected response. The thrill of watching unfiltered acts live at a festival is replicated on our daily episodes … the live segment can lead to any and every possible outcome. Finally, Festv is appealing to festivals anywhere, thus creating highly potential growth opportunities.
